Chapter 16

In the snowy mountain, the tower Nightmare Moon launched crash-landed on the snow, and rolled to the nearby edge of the cliff. AJ emerged from the tower, and shivered from the cold. He looked around, and said "Spike?" He ran to the edge of the cliff, looked down, and said "SPIKE!" He then heard shivering, and he turned around to see Spike buried under a pile of snow. He ran over to him, and started digging as he said "Oh, this is all mah fault! Ah should have freed Discord when Ah had the chance!" He stopped digging, and hugged Spike as he said "Spike! You ok, haystack?" "Y-Yeah. Sure. No problem." Spike said. "Ah'm sorry, Spike." AJ said. "Ah-Ah made a mess of everything. Somehow, Ah gotta go back and set things right." Spike got on AJ's back, and they started making their way through the blizzard. Suddenly, AJ stepped on a frozen tail, and discovered that it was Rainbow Dash who flew over to the flying tower to help them, but got frozen in the process. "Rainbow Dash!" AJ said with a smile. He then noticed that her tail was pinned onto a tower. He tried to pull her out, but it was no use. He started digging in the snow as he said "Spike, start digging!" "Ok." Spike said as he started digging. "That's it!" AJ said. Suddenly, the tower started rolling, and he pulled Spike out of the way as he started running. Spike gasped, and he and AJ rolled through. They made it out on a patch of snow, and the tower fell over the cliff. "Yee-haw!" AJ said as he cheered. "All right!" Spike got scared that he lightly fainted. Rainbow Dash then shook the snow and ice off of her, and said "Thanks!" She grabbed a piece of cloud, and AJ and Spike hopped on it. As they took off, AJ said "Now, back to Canterlot! Let's go!"

-Meanwhile in Canterlot-

At the castle in the high mountain, Nightmare Moon was sitting on her throne while watching Trixie playing Shining Armor like a puppet with her magic. Applejack was chained next to the throne while Discord stood next to Nightmare Moon. As Trixie stuffed Shining Armor's face with crackers, she said "Puppet ruler want a cracker? Here's your cracker! Shove them all the way down your throat! Here, have lots!" Nightmare Moon chuckled as Applejack said "STOP IT! Nightmare Moon, leave him alone!" Nightmare Moon then motioned Trixie to stop, and she grunted in dismay. Nightmare Moon then pulled Applejack's chain with her magic, and said "It pains me to see you reduced to this, Applejack." She took a bite of an apple that Applejack held in her hooves, and said "A beautiful apple blossom such as yourself should be on the hoof of the most powerful pony in all of Equestria." She then used her magic to turn Applejack's chain into a midnight blue crown with white pearls on it, and said "What do you say, my dear? Why, with you as my queen-." Applejack then threw apple cider that was in a blue glass in Nightmare Moon's face as she said "Never!"

Nightmare Moon then growled in anger as she said "I'll teach you some respect!" Applejack backed up in fear as Nightmare Moon prepared to slap her across the face, but she held herself back when an idea came to her. She smirked, and said "No." She looked at Discord, and said "Oh, Discord. I have decided to make my final wish. I wish for Princess Applejack to fall desperately in love with me." Applejack then gasped in horror. Just then, AJ, Spike, and Rainbow Dash arrived, and landed on the high window as Discord turned into William F. Buckley, and said "Ah, mistress, there are a few addendas, some quid pro quo-." Nightmare Moon grabbed him with her magic, and said "Don't talk back to me, you stupid lout! You will do what I order you to do, slave!" Applejack looked up to see AJ, and his friends in the window, and as they used the cloud to land softly on the ground, they motioned her to keep quiet, and to play along. Pretending to be in love with Nightmare Moon, she stood up, placed the crown on her head, and said "Nightmare Moon? Ah never realized how incredibly beautiful you are." Discord and Nightmare Moon stared in shock as Discord's jaw dropped to the floor. Nightmare Moon smirked, and said "Mmmm. That's better." She pulled Discord's jaw up like a window shade, looked at Applejack, and said "Now, my little pony, tell me more about myself."

As Applejack and Nightmare Moon slowly walked towards each other, Applejack said "You're tall, dark, well-mannered." At the same time, AJ, Spike, and Rainbow Dash hid behind a wall. Discord spotted AJ as he said "AJ! AJ, little buddy!" "Shhhh!" AJ said. Discord gasped, and literally zipped his lip. He went up to AJ, unzipped his lip, and whispered out "AJ, I can't help you. I work for little miss nightmare now! What are you gonna do?" "Hey, Ah'm a street-pony, remember?" AJ asked as he rezipped Discord's lip. "Ah'll improvise." He slid on a huge pile of gold, and hid behind another huge pile of gold as Applejack "Cut little gaps between your sharp teeth." "Go on." Nightmare Moon said with a wild smirk on her face. "And your mane is so twisted." Applejack as AJ slowly made his way to the throne. "You've stolen mah heart." Trixie was sitting in her seat while eating grapes when she spotted AJ. She gasped, and said "NIGHTMARE-!" Spike quickly grabbed her, and kept her mouth shut. "And the street-pony?" Nightmare Moon asked in a sweet tone. "What street-pony?" Applejack asked. Spike and Trixie struggled so much that they accidently knocked the fruit bowl onto the ground, making a lot of noise. Nightmare Moon turned to the noise, but Applejack quickly turned her attention to her, and kissed her on her lips. AJ gasped in shock and dismay. Rainbow Dash and Discord stared in shock. Spike and Trixie stared in shock, and then became disgusted as they said "Yuck!"
