Chapter 17

The kiss lasted for a few seconds, and then, they finally stopped. "That was-." Nightmare Moon started to say, but then she spotted AJ's reflection Applejack's crown, and she turned to face him as she said "YOU!" AJ tried to get the statue, but Nightmare Moon pushed him away from it with her magic as she said "How many times do I have to kill you, colt?!" Applejack tried to attack Nightmare Moon, but she threw her to the ground. AJ charged at Nightmare Moon, and started to fight with her as he looked at Applejack, and said "Get the statue!" Applejack began running to it as Nightmare Moon said "NO!" She then threw AJ off of her, and used her magic to seal Applejack inside a very large hourglass as she said "Ah, ah, ah, princess! Your time is up!" AJ tackled Nightmare Moon, and looked at Applejack in shock as he said "Applejack!" Sand then started to fall through the hourglass as Trixie said "Oh, nice shot, Night-!" Spike interrupted her when he wacked her on the head with a fruit bowl. "OW!" She said. Spike made his way to the statue, but Nightmare Moon used her magic to turn him into an egg as she said "Don't toy with me!" "Spike!" AJ said.

Rainbow Dash came rushing in to get the statue. She grabbed it, but then Nightmare Moon turned her into a spinning tornado as she said "Things are unraveling fast now, colt!" "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Rainbow Dash yelled out as she started spinning, and dropped the statue. Nightmare Moon cackled, and said "Get the point?!" AJ ran for the statue, but Nightmare Moon made swords appear with her magic as she cackled. AJ tried to reach for the statue, but Nightmare Moon pulled it away from him as she cackled, and said "I'm just getting warmed up!" AJ grabbed one of the swords, and tried to charge at Nightmare Moon, but she used her magic to make a ring of fire, and blocked him. She cackled as AJ said "Are ya'll afraid to fight me yourself, you cowardly snake?!" Nightmare Moom emerged from the fire, and said "A snake, am I? Perhaps, you'd like to see how sssnake-like I can be!" She then used her magic to turn into a black and midnight blue colored cobra snake as AJ and Applejack looked up in horror. AJ then gulped in fear as the ring of fire disappeared. He quickly shook off the fear as he dodged Nightmare Moon's attack, She tried attacking him, but he dodged. She tried again, but he swung his sword at her, and she screamed in pain.

Discord turned into four cheerleaders wearing colorful sweaters with blue As on them, and they said "Rickem, rockem, rackem, rake! Stick that sword into that snake!" Nightmare Moon glared at Discord as she said "You stay out of thissss!" Discord turned back to normal as he waved a pennant with Nightmare Moon's cutie mark on it as he said "Nightmare Moon, Nightmare Moon, she's our mare. If she can't do it, GREAT!" AJ tried to make his way to the hourglass, but Nightmare Moon stopped him, and tripped him with her tail, making him lose his sword in the process. "AJ!" Applejack said as the sand in the hourglass were starting to fill up more and more. AJ jumped on a large gem, and slid across the room, grabbing his sword on his way. He turned a corner, and Nightmare Moon tried to follow, but she crashed through the wall, and hung outside the castle. AJ jumped down, and stabbed Nightmare Moon who screamed in pain. AJ jumped back into the castle, grabbed a large stick, and ran to the hourglass as he said "Applejack, hang on!" He tried to smash the glass, but Nightmare Moon caught him in her coils as she cackled, and said "You little fool! You thought you could defeat the most powerful being in all of Equestria!" "Squeeze him, Nightmare Moon." Trixie said with a grin. "Squeeze him like a-!" Discord slapped the back of Trixie's head as she said "OUCH!"

"Without Discord, colt, you're nothing!" Nightmare Moon said. AJ looked at Discord as he said "Discord." Then, an idea hit him as he muttered "Discord!" He looked up at Nightmare Moon as he said "Discord has more power then you'll ever have!" "WHAT?!" Nightmare Moon asked. "He gave you your power!" AJ said. "He can take it away!" "AJ, what are you doing?" Discord asked nervously. "Why are you bringing me into this?" "Face it, Nightmare Moon! You're still just second best!" AJ said. Nightmare Moon gasped, and said "You're right! His power does exceed my own!" She smirked at Discord as she said "But not for long." She slithered her way to Discord who chuckled nervously, and said "The colt is crazy. He's a little punch drunk. One too many hits with the snake." "Slave! I make my third wish! I wish to be an all-powerful spirit of chaos!" Nightmare Moon said. AJ looked down at Discord, and Applejack took a peek through the hourglass as the sand kept pouring down on her. Discord sighed, and said "All right, your wish is my command." He glared at AJ as he said "Way to go, AJ." AJ nodded, and Discord used his magic to turn Nightmare Moon into an alicorn covered in black smoke with a red horn, and brilliant scarlet eyes.

AJ was finally free from the coils, and the sand in the hourglass that Applejack was trapped in was full as Nightmare Moon said "Yes! Yes! The power!" AJ grabbed the stick, and broke the hourglass, freeing Applejack in the process. "The absolute power!" Nightmare Moon said as she bursted through the roof, and started unleashing all of her magic. "What have you done?!" Applejack asked. "Trust me!" AJ said as a black crystal was formed on the ground. "The universe is mine to command! To control!" Nightmare Moon said with glee. "Not so fast, Nightmare Moon!" AJ said. "Aren't you forgetting something?!" Nightmare Moon looked down on AJ as she said "Huh?" "Ya'll wanted to be a spirit of chaos, you got it!" The bindings appeared on Nightmare Moon as she said "WHAT?!" "And everything that goes with it!" AJ said as he held up the black crystal. Nightmare Moon started screaming as she started getting sucked into the crystal, and said "NO! NO!" Trixie started to panic as she said "I'm getting out of here!" She started running away, but her mistress grabbed her as she said "Come on, your the spirit of chaos! I don't want-!" "Phenomenal cosmic powers!" AJ said as Nightmare Moon and Trixie got sucked into the crystal. "Itty bitty living space." "AJ, you little genius you!" Discord said with a smile as he ruffled AJ's mane with his paw.
