Man, how rare is it to see General rated submissions from me. Rare as fu--heck.
Anyway, this is Po'Nee. I can't recall off-hand if I've posted anything of him on here yet. He's a Nu Mou. He's a demon summoner. And he lives in a world that is vaguely Final Fantasy-ish. Writin' a fic with him, click here if ya wanna do some readin'!
He's young, he's new to the whole adventuring thing and life is very stressful for him. So when he is overwhelmed, he sleeps like this. In what we've determined is called a bednest...which is a bunch of clothes/blankets all wrapped up around him because he's a giant baby.
I wanted to keep trying at this shading method. Still feels cleaner with my style, I think.

Not gonna lie, I'm still childishly proud of this one. Yeah, those clothes were a bitch, and they are flat as fuuuuuck but. It was *definitely* a good practice piece for me. It's hard to not go back to this blocky cel-shading style and, like you said, it's good to have it in the arsenal. But as I try to branch out again and expand what I do...it's hard not to look back at Po and his goddamn bednest and sigh wistfully.

Awww, thank you!! Every time I get a response to something with PoNee, I'm reminded that I actually really enjoyed coming up with that character and the story that got planned out for him -- shame I don't have the bandwidth to work on it at the time. But I'm always happy whenever someone finds enjoyment from an old piece of the little guy!
