This song is called "Bardenfreud" (Bard's joy). It's an old theme, which I've wanted to arrange for over 2 years now.
Finally, I had some time to arrange this old composition. I wanted this to be a medieval song, which you could use for a happy dance. :D
The main theme is made of two short cues, which are originally played by a harpsichord. But during the process, I've added a bandoneon, a fiddle, percussion, a bagpipe, recorders and many more strings.
Just wanted to tell you: this is the very limit of what my keyboard is capable of. :(
I've used up all my channels this time. Time to get a new instrument, huh?
*EDIT*
Here you can find an "Epic String Version" of this song:
http://reptile-universum.de/reptile.....%20Version.mp3
It's a little bit longer, faster, but simpler in style and arrangement. Though I like both versions! ^^
Arranged, composed and performed by Patrick Reichel aka REPTILECYNRIK
Media used: YAMAHA PSR-1000

Ooo, I'm digging this! Sounds like a renaissance dance to me, until 1.20 or really 1.27 (there I wouldn't even call it baroque)
Anyway the style doesn't affect the music at all as it's a lovely piece, wonderfully treated, the counterpoint sounds perfect, I like how you add parts.
I could certainly dance to this, it sounds awesome, very interesting. Wonderful work.
I myself write tons of baroque styled music (read late renaissance).
Wonderful work!

Thanks a lot for the comment, I really appreciate it! :) I've just browsed through your music and I've gotta say I really love your piano playing. So, I see you've much experience and skill about music, as well.
That's why I really value your comment. But hey, I love EVERY comment!! ^^
This song here takes a sudden change in 1:27, when I add a choir and symphonic strings. This is "my personal" style again... :D So, the song's climax ends up in a rather typical style of mine again.
But I like the medieval result, as well.
Thanks again!!!!

Thanks! I also play the guitar (slightly better than my piano, still classical of course)
Every comment is worth it's weight in gold I think, I always reply to every single one.
I can't say I take that addition all too well (it doesn't fit with the rest, it's not ugly though! as you said your own style!)
Really nice again!

Wow, I love this. Random mostly said what I wanted to already.
I might make a more elaborate mix of this in the future if I can get my main stuff working again, and if you didn't mind, of course.. credit would go to you. I love tunes like this and fleshing them out further usually makes them sound even better. :D

I've been listening to those as well since you posted them. I like your tracks quite a bit! I've never tried to compose anything like this one, though, so the challenge is there. Not saying your other tracks aren't awesome. :)
Nor have I really used the same instrumentation or tried the same composition style as this one here, which is really quite melodic and blends well for the most part. When I find some time I'll sit down and see if I can actually do it. I'm a major procrastinator though so I can't even say whether I'd finish it or not. :D

I've tried quite a few different styles, yeah. Mostly, my songs are "RPG-eske", as well. :D Most of the music could fit to old video games, hehehe.
But aside from orchestral stuff, I also like "Metal" - as you know.
Though I've figured out that "soft and smooth" songs are somehow best for me. It's hard to do "battle music", oh my!! :O
But a calm ballad... that's something else. It's always grateful and sweet. ^^
This time, I wanted some medieval fun dance again, hehehe.
THANKS again for the offer and the nice words! *hugs*

Sounds incredible, you really are awesome, i lieterally can close my eyes and imagine myself in the medieval age, in few words, im speachles, and my words are not enough to descrive it, IMPRESSIVE, totally impresive.

Aye, so you're one of the "medieval folk music lovers", too?? :D
Yessss, I'm glad that I could make you happy.
Do you know "Blackmore's Night"? A great folk band! I can only suggest you to get some music from them. They're really great!! ^^
I won't get a new keyboard... but I'll get a sound software for composing digital music in time! ^^

:D Nicht "Herr SOUNDSO"!!!
Zumindest musst du MICH nicht so anreden. Wenn es die anderen lieber höflich/förmlich haben wollen, okay!
