You know, once his true form is finally liberated I hope his sense of lifespan returns to normal, so he feels like a young man again. The older one gets, the quicker each day seems to go by. It would be monstrously unfair to get his wish only to perceive that in effect he's already in his twilight years.
Happily immortality has made him lose the firm grasp he had on time. He knows on some level that he’s slightly over two hundred years old, but it’s hard to reconcile that reality when there are only a few hallmarks of the passage of time that he has been aware of. He will jump ahead a little in physical maturity when the time comes, effectively losing eight mortal years or so, but that is something he can live with.
By the way, Dearshul, I think you got the name of your commissioner mistyped on that final Major. You might want to fix that mistake, so it'll actually show the link to MajorMajorM4jor's page. ^^;

It's a hard choice, but I think this is my favorite of the ones you've done for me. It's such a sweet and hopeful piece, especially at a time when I think we all could use more of that. Thank you so much, Dearshul!
