It's suggested to what who you work with and pay what you owe, lest you end up in a situation you didn't bargain for.
As a boss, you have to know how to rule and where to put your little pawns. As the Oyabun to the biggest clan in all of Tokyo, he has to rule with an iron grip, lest anyone think the can go out of line.
Most of his business comes from The Honey Pot, a renowned club within Tokyo's pleasure district. Fukune is here to win the game, no matter the cost. Sometimes you have to cheat to win.
About
Fukune is, in every sense of the word, your friend and enemy. As the youngest Oyabun, many others look down upon him for the little experience they have, believing he doesn't have what it takes to last within this scene, but he intends to prove them wrong. He's typically a nice and laid back person, knowing how to separate business and leisure with ease only people dare to dream of.
If there is ever a favor you need, Fukune will be able to provide you with what you need.
Granted you're able to repay what he's owed, that is.
Although, there are some people who think they can take him for granted, skipping out of town or simply not paying their debts. There is nothing that angers Fukune more than those who see him as a charity case, his demonic nature coming in full fruition oftentimes, and these people never do it again.
He's different towards anyone who works for him, treating them as if they are actually apart of his family rather than people he can boss around, although he still makes sure he knows they can't do whatever they want.
Fukune tries his hardest to be different from the others, punishing when he needs to and how, but he never goes straight to taking their lives. The most he would do id take their pinky finger, but as a lesson to them and the rest of the clan to not cross him.
He knows there will always be snakes, those who go against him and his wishes, but he does what he can to make sure that doesn't happen. Business is never simple and Fukune won't pretend that it is.
Fukune's interests are few are far between. On one hand, he enjoys massages and spas, but on the other, he enjoys seeing people wallow and cry for their wrongdoings. The business life, as charming as it is, comes with paperwork as boring as the grave, but always leaves him satisfied in the end. One thing he loves above is money.
Aaah money, the root of all evil, and the only way you'll get through life. Most of it tends to go to other means, though, like business or charities. He at least tries to do some good by the world.
The fact he gives money to people who refuse to pay him back pisses him off like no other. He can't fathom why people insist to be so... Greedy and selfish when someone has been... Kind and forgiving. It's simply not something Fukune can truly fathom.
Then again, he finds it hard to understand humans in general.
Backstory
When Fukune was born, the Goro clan was at its peak in power, undefeated in all aspects of the word. This is, until competitors stepped into their turf.
It was disastrous. Business after business fell from their grasp, slowly and surely. Fukune was too young at the time to understand the level of the situation his family was in, and unfortunately, to fully seize control, his father would need to die. Jiraiya was murdered in the streets, the remaining members of the clan needing to flee before they were next.
This was a tragedy they thought would never fall upon their shoulders of the great Goro clan, but here they were.
On the run while barely getting by.
Their new home now resided in Yokohama, under a new guise as the remaining members were afraid of their lives becoming next.
Years went by until Fukune was able to live on his own, learning important lessons from his Uncle and mother to understand the world he was shielded from. They answered every question he had, but would never answer where his father was. It angered him. Why wouldn't they tell him why he wasn't with them? Was his answers with Tokyo? How was he going to return?
Of course, his mother figured out his plans once his time around the family diminished.
One day, Chie pulled her son to the side, a weary smile on her face as she held out a silver hair clip for him. It was confusing to be given such a strange gift, but it all became clear when Chie explained the strange item. With just a simple touch, it turned into a beautiful sword of incredible craftsmanship, and it was now his to wield.
"A weapon that has been passed down for generations in our clan. It is now yours, my son," Placing the weapon within his hand as a clip, "Use it to return our home to us." A promise he was all too eager to fulfill.
At the age of twenty one, Fukune traveled back to Tokyo, armed with a sword and a promise. He was thankful his face was barely recognizable, although he knew it'd be suspicious once he started asking questions about the Yakuza who ran the profit of businesses and other establishments.
Eiji Matsuo, the new owner of these properties, caught wind of him snooping around, asking questions he shouldn't have. Fukune was more than he bargained for, though, as only one of the men he sent to teach him a lesson came back alive with a severed hand. In the Matsuo clan, this declared war.
What could one demon do to a small army?
Plenty.
Again and again, Eiji's men returned injured or worse, declaring it was if they stepped into the lands of Yomi itself. Fukune had no intention of stopping, forcing man after man to give him the location of their boss. Once the information was given, he was many steps closer to his revenge, even if it felt hollow.
It wasn't long until Fukune stormed the building, fighting with fists and sword to destroy all in his path to find the man who killed his father.
Tried all they might, they couldn't stop him. They nearly did, but his determination and strive were his greatest allies. Fukune kicked through the door to find the man waiting, a bored look on his face. It was as if his men didn't die for him.
"Who are you and why are you here?"
A question heard all night. Those men weren't given an answer, so why would he give one to Eiji? This man was smart and resourceful. He would know his name, know why he was here, but who was he to not indulge the man? He'd amuse him.
"I am Fukune Goro, first heir of Jiraiya Goro, whom you murdered for money and power. I intend to take back what is rightfully mine."
Eiji laughed, amused by Fukune's words. Was this all just a sick joke to Eiji? This man truly tore his family apart and destroyed their Empire. This man was going to die no matter how long it took him. Eiji was ready to show his own battle power to rival Fukune's once he attack. It was a sight to behold, a difficult fight compared to the rest of his men.
Fukune was not as strong as Eiji was, pure skill used against him.
Determination allowed him to pull through and down the man with a well-timed strike. Fukune didn't say a word, nor did he give Eiji a chance to speak. His father would've done the same.
Tokyo once again belonged to the Goro clan and he would make sure it was permanent.
Once it was all settled, he ran the rest of Eiji's men out of Tokyo unless they decided to work for him. He helped his family and his father's men return home, returning their positions if they chose to stay. Those who decided not to were given the means to live a simple life. It was difficult for him to regain full control, but he regained the control of most businesses.
Granted they could pay anyway.
Years passed and his work was never done. Fukune founded The Honey Pot, a cabaret club that gave many men and women a place to work comfortably, while providing others joy and entertainment.
Fukune's New life was only beginning, and there was nowhere for him to go but up.
I hope you guys enjoy him as much as I do! I always have fun creating such elaborate characters from small nuances and the overall aesthetic of the character. I will admit, he almost became your simple everyday porn character, but that just isn't for me!
