Bernyce Pratt-Wallingford, strutting herself on the beach somewhere back in 1926. We're not sure where this picture was taken; it could have been a beach in New Haven, or down in Miami (despite her aversion to Americans, who she regarded as somewhat low class), or the French Riviera.

Not a logo; swimsuit makers back then didn't do that. That's either a weave of fabric to allow the legs of the suit to expand or contact as the leg moves in it, or a decorative accent. It was in the original reference photo: https://usercontent1.hubstatic.com/.....7996_f1024.jpg
