she is a neocrian shapeshifter.
neocrian shapeshifters are a species of the planet i invented, neocria. they have a limited amount of shapes when they're wild ones. however, rational shapeshifters have a more extense variety of shapes and also can turn their body into other things and make things with them.
the tentales are one of these things.

shikka is a neocrian shapeshifter, therefore she has a large variety of shapeshifting powers.
