Normally I use it for the usual normal purposes of having transparent backgrounds, but since it can have varying levels of opacity, I thought it would be silly stupid fun to invert the idea by having a solid detailed background for the whole image but with a hole cut in the middle just for his shirt.
It's one of the main reasons why I think PNG is awesome and JPEG sucks, because JPEG doesn't have alpha channel support 😢
