Over thirteen years ago, I was an 8th grader who had recently discovered the Furry fandom, and something of a budding musician. Naturally, I was quickly drawn to the now-semi-defunct Furry Music Foundation, where I found a couple dozen very talented individuals who put their music up to share with others.
Back in that time, most music was distributed online via MIDI files, as the MP3s were still relegated largely to the European Warez scene and many machines weren't powerful enough to decode them. Even on a dialup connection, MIDIs downloaded within seconds, and, depending on the quality of your soundcard, could provide hours of listening pleasure.
It was in this time and climate I came upon
Lutra, and his track simply titled "Dance." It's a tune that's stuck with me since I was thirteen years old and I'm finally pleased to present my own interpretation of this wonderful song.
For reference, this was performed live with the Roland RD-700, SRX-6 and SRX-11. I recorded it in two parts, performing the piano track, and then recording the strings alongside it. It was recorded in Audacity.
