So i take a while to beat games, but i've been playing Sonic the Hedgehog (they failed to give it a better name, even Sonic Adventure 3 would have worked) and just beat it last night and im feeling pretty good. This is actually a huge step up from sega's massive failures on consel systems since heroes. Reviews dont give this game enough credit though. It makes for some pretty nice fandom. Love is a big theme in it and fans can go wild with it. ShadowxRouge, SilverxBlaze (fav) and SonicxElise. Alot of the ending cutscene captures your emotions in some way or another. But anyways, ITS SONIC YO! In charcoals :3

It's just his name. It's the same as my character's. which wouldn't even be a big deal if the two werren't pretty much based in the same world and off the same species. Because of this I know that from now on when I draw something of my character, I'm opening myself up to someone saying it's a ripoff of Sega, or (even better)'Silver doesn't look like that!' and I know that there's really nothing I can do about it.

yes but I have no legitimate proof of that. The first pic of him was done at least a year and a half (or more) ago, but I don't remember exactly when and I can't find the guy I requested to draw it to begin with to confirm anything, so it really doesn't matter regardless...
Naw I think its a legitimate reason really. People, especially the species "Fans", tend to cause alot of drama and say stupid crap lol. And the last thing you would need is for someone to tell you your characters a rip off. But at least the only major things they have in common are the color and name (i wouldnt count the species). I've seen people who straight up rip and recolor characters and dont even draw them themselves. But like i said man, i get where youre comin from.
