The Tol'Kahir built several city states around the biggest oasis of the western desertic regions, mainly in the area called Kahari Basin. Usually each city state controls a small territory with other minor settlements, with the exception of the Akhta city state that formed a pretty large empire. All Tol'Kahir territories are still independent, as the harsh desert conditions made it impossible for the human kingdoms to conquer them.

Several of the kids on my division going through basic training (myself included lol) gained an uncanny ability to doze off while marching in formation and continue marching; we just kinda got nudged and bounced between the shoulders of the person to our left and right. Not actually, fully asleep mind you, just not completely in the realm of awake.
I spent my last three and a half years on active duty as "C" school instructor, I've my share. Made more than a few of them myself as well. Even had a Chief PO (E-7) come through my course because he needed the NEC for his next command and he thought he was gonna fly through and get a pass just because he was a khaki. He didn't like me very much after we had a little talk.
*Edit; I realized a minute after this that there might need to be a bit of clarification. Chief PO = Chief Petty Officer, Navy E-7. NEC = Navy Enlisted Classification, or job specification basically (MOS for other branches). He needed the NEC as a qualified technician for the specific version of the system that I taught the maintenance course for.

the Tol'Kahir, the only cats that not even the humans would DARE fuck with. Somehow I Feel there would be a Saladin type figure as a commander for Akhta.

Once again I must compliment you on the insane amount of detail you put into these works. The costuming here is just gorgeous! The way most of your characters carries more than one weapon feels very realistic to the time and place, as well as the jewelry/scarring of each individual. I can't help but stare.....
I'm an armed security supervisor IRL. Over the years during site inspections I've found, documented, woken and handled sleeping guards. I see he's taken off his helm so its not a "I was just resting my eyes sir!" situation. Yep he's boned. Somehow I think clawed ears, a chewing out and nasty punishment detail are due. Outfit I'm with now, sleep and you get one warning then you are out. Some cases you are out right away.
I know many are finding this scene a bit amusing but do a google search on ancient punishments for sleeping sentries. For the British Royal Navy around the 17th-18th century the first offense would get you two dozen or more lashes, more if your captain had a vicious temper. The second time it happened you would be suspended under the bowsprit in a net with a pound of cheese and a knife. The idea was that you could either starve to death after the cheese was gone or you could cut the net with the knife and die from being run over by the ship you failed by falling asleep and endangering said ship and all your shipmates (granted some would survive but by that time the crew would not be in any mood to turn the ship around to pick you up).
I don't have any links to actual recorded instances of this happening and the resulting punishment but falling asleep while on watch, land or sea, was, and still is, a serious infraction.
