This (minus the bent lens of course) really happend to me once... One of the many hand-fed squirrels in the Vienna Zoo came up to me and decided to either be very cute or pretend that I'm a tree... I had my 50-500 zoom lens on the camera at that point, so I couldn't even fit it between the squirrel and my eye - and it probably would not have been able to focus anyway. I'm olny sad that nobody was around to make a picture of that scene...
