I have to admit here, that I did not experience such a thing in my childhood. My parents both cared for me to the very best of their abilities, and I am very thankful for it. However, I still had to get this off my shoulders after .... seeing it last night at work.
Jason Pryde, son of Theresa Frost and Jake Pryde, was not really loved much. He was raised by only Theresa (Jake wasn't even in the same solar system the entire time Theresa was even alive with Jason), and really didn't do a good job of caring for his every need: specifically, attention. Sure, he was fed, clothed, and provided a roof over his head, but... that was about it.

Jason in this stage of his life is actually my finger pointing to the utter lack of proper parenting that has proliferated the developed world lately.
