This is a looooong overdue trade story I've been working on on-n-off for a few months for my good pal,
CheshireCatMaster.
This story sees us visiting the world of Pandora Hearts, a criminally short-lived anime series based off of a brilliant yet heartbreaking manga series. It follows a doomed soul, once a willing Contractee to powerful beings of the Abyss known only as "Chains." But now that his contract is up, he hasn't ended up in the Abyss like all Contractees eventually do, but rather, a pocket realm...the realm of the Cheshire Cat...
And unfortunately for our ex-Contractee, the only time The Will of the Abyss ever summons her victims to Cheshire's realm is if she wants to feed her beloved pet...
Hope you all enjoy! :)

...Okay, so first of all...I REALLY needed this today/tonight. Like...you wouldn't believe how much I needed it. For the sake of privacy in comments, I won't go into the reasons why, but I was EXTREMELY happy to see this pop up on my feed, and finally see this puppy finished up. So just for that reason alone, thank you so very much.
Having gotten that out of the way, you did a FANTASTIC job with this story! I loved the pocket watch as a sort of reference to you-can-guess-which-character, and of course all of the belches and belly-related madness was BEAUTIFUL.
However, where I think you REALLY succeeded - even beyond those "fascinating" moments - was just the sense of style and scope you gave this thing. You did a really good job at capturing the surreal, nightmarish, sort of haunted and almost Gothic quality of Cheshire's Mansion. I liked seeing Davian moving through the place, loved all the little nuances and the ways the place warped around him. Honestly, the whole story almost could have been just about a guy getting lost forever in that place, and it would have been almost as glorious.
Almost.
Of course, you handled Cheshire himself brilliantly, too, with how blunt and careless he can be, but with that gentle and slightly playful side, as well as his scarier moments. Again, this isn't really a traditional take on the character - compared to the original book or things like Disney or the American McGee games - but I think that's part of why you like it, and it's definitely a personality you handle splendidly. I'm not sure I could do a better job myself...though I sure hope I get the chance to try someday.
Thank you once again, comrade. Here's hoping we can trade again in the near future.
Sincerely,
The Cheshire Cat's Master
