I absolutely loved working on this sketch, because... I mean, look at them, they are freaking adorable. :D I've been wanting to draw something similar for ages, so this was a perfect opportunity. You should probably expect more "mixed families" drawings in the future, because working on this made me realize how much I love it as a concept.

I feel you. Imagining different beings loving and caring for each other on a family level is a heart warming and somewhat exciting concept.
I mean, a family made just of one species holds tons of conflict and drama potential alone. Throw in some evolutionary differences and the possibilies seem endless!
Those two however don't seem to mind for the moment :).
