Here is my Jaeger for the Pacific Rim Uprising Contest: Opale Warden!!!

But you see..... Opale Warden doesn't belong to the Pan Pacific Defense Corps;
He is actually a Jaeger belonging to the "Nausicaa Watch"!!

Somewhere between 2015 and 2016, shortly after the fondation of the P.P.D.C, a group of European countries grew paranoid at the idea of other Breaches opening outside the Pacific Ocean....
(This fear was especially fed by rumors about a second Breach somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean, but years later, it was revealed to be nothing than a gigantic hoax!! )

But before the rumor was de-bunked, many European governements with the bigger players being Spain, Great Britain and France decided to create a military alliance under the name "Nausicaa Watch"!!!

"Nausicaa Watch" was mostly a surveillance unit and the superviser of a gigantic network of bunkers, underground safe-houses and shelters and defensive artillery forces along the entire coastline of the member countries.... but also had some Jaegers under their command!!!

The very first among those European Jaeger was Opale Warden, "The Vigil of Dunkirk"!!!
This title came from his main garrison but also from the fact that his conception started roughly around the 75th Anniversary of the "Operation Dynamo" and The Battle of Dunkirk....
Opale Warden's conception was basically a big hommage toward this dark page of History....

For years, Opale Warden and his bretheren Jaegers of the "Nausicaa Watch" kept patrolling the coastline of France and kept themself ready for Kaiju Attacks that never came....

But in 2035, shortly after the Battle of Mount Fuji, Opale Warden and his bretheren finally got their chance to prove their worth, as "Nausicaa Watch" decided to donate all its remaining Jaegers to what was left of the P.P.D.C , answering Jake Pentecost's call to war against the Precursors!!!!

Opale Warden would finally do what he was created for.....

The all idea was to find a way to put my hometown of Dunkirk inside the conflict of the Pacific Rim Franchise in a way that would both honor my home but also stay true with the narrative of the movies....
