As lockdowns and stay-at-home orders have been enacted and enforced around the globe, I’ve noticed that with them has come a rather positive side effect. In the absence of the ability to go outside for prolonged periods, people are taking a much greater interest in making their homes not only habitable, but enjoyable spaces to live. Even in my little village, these two months have seen people taking great care of their gardens, touching up the outside of their houses, and generally putting in commendable effort towards creativity and construction.
This picture was taken a few weeks ago, shortly after they were watered. Apparently, this little guy wanted to keep some for later. It’s been quite fulfilling seeing them sprout from little spots of green in the dirt to become almost too big to stand up, and I hope to have a thriving crop by the end of the summer.
Hope you enjoy!
