More of the shot put/meteor story that spun out of the Australian Oleo-impics. The Bandicoot has brought his housekeeper out to explain how the shot put rolled into his burrow. She goes on to tell the story, taking more than a full week to do so. In-character time: the Kangaroo logs how it's been seven days. So that's a happy accomplishment. The big challenge here is trying to work out the bug's anatomy, as whatever it was Walt Kelly originally figured for the character got shrunk so much in the reproduction that, I dunno, it's a blobby circle atop a trapezoid, with wings and feets. This is why the thumbnail always looks better than the actual picture.
Also, yes, I am aware that Pogo has shown up in at least two nationally syndicated comic strips this week --- Mother Goose and Grimm on Monday ( https://www.comicskingdom.com/share.....2-2bd6d9c428d2 ) and Thatababy on Wednesday ( https://www.gocomics.com/thatababy/2020/05/13 ) --- and I have no idea what this signifies. There are cartoonists I know who are aware of me, but they're, like, the guy who writes The Phantom and not anybody who'd be passing word of my little fan-art project back to Comic Strip Master Command. Still, if we got Pogo showing up in, I don't know, Tank McNamara Friday I'm going to call it a conspiracy.
