In honor of Betrothed's upcoming 10th anniversary, I thought I'd celebrate. ^^ (Also... HOW has it been that long?! HOW?!) :O
And I'm starting with updating as many of the character refs as I can! :D Here is the King of the Pridelands and father of Mufasa.

Ahadi's birth at the end of the War of Lions marks the end of a long and bloody time in the Pridelands. His father King Mohatu betroths the newborn prince to the daughter of the rival pride, uniting them in a promise of peace from that point on.
Growing up in the Pridelands with Uru as his best friend is both exciting and trying for Ahadi. She constantly goes looking for trouble and there seems to be no end to her pranks. Even so, Ahadi can't imagine, nor does he want to, a life without her in it. News of their betrothal (albeit prematurely delivered) is happy news to him, and he grows into a handsome lion looking forward to the day Uru will be his queen and, more importantly, his best friend for the rest of their lives. Little does he know that Uru doesn't share this dream with him. And it's something she'll hide from him for a long time to come, even after they have their firstborn son Mufasa. Uru's dissatisfaction will lead to the most challenging moments in Ahadi's life. Yet, he will continue to love her with all his heart.
