This looks really nice so far. I really like the play on symmetry- it's very fitting for the ancient sophisticated feel to the design. One thing though-- your figures (the creatures) are high contrast to the white space going on around them-- they are very bold. This is not bad at all- I like it. But is there a way you could create more unity with the text using that boldness? Perhaps making the "Moongara's Menagerie" darker/bolder so that contrast is found more unified in the design. Maybe also center the text between the creatures. Otherwise, I think it looks pretty well handled. =)

As soon as I posted the design, I saw the problem with the text, I agree, its way too small. I had tried to incorporate the text into the design more but I think there wasn't enough room to make it work on this design. I think I will be playing with it a bit more and posting the results soon.

is there any way you could use illustrator or a similar program? My one issue is that the pictures are a little on the pixelated side making it looks a lot less clean. The real way to get rid of that is to use vectors.

Illustrator? Vectors? My only "art" program is MS-Paint. It does its job for making photo compilations but other than that...I know its crap. I think the pixelating came from sizing up the beasties.
I have done another drawing that I think I will be using instead. I am going to get a high quality scan done tomorrow at FedexKinkos (they have better scanners than I have access to at home) That should be a much less pixelated image. No funny resizing since I made sure to make the paper was to scale for a business card before I did anything else.
