The Day Old Toby Died - a nautical poem
*covers her eyes...
I can't believe this one popped out of me in all of its silliness...

Well, you certainly can transcribe speech inflections to written word quite masterfully!
The rhythm of the poem is a little tough, but I think I got it, a little Stravinsky-esque, and I think that makes it sound a little 'rough' like the waves on a slightly stormy day at sea.
I look forward to starting your longer work, hopefully I won't start to incessantly speak like a pirate for the following weeks.

*chuckles... and goes 'argueeeeeee'
and I asked the pirate why they all said 'RRRRR'
He listed the alphabet for me but I shall list but a few.
A - he told me they were mistaken for Canadians.
C - mistaken for Mexicans
I - mistaken for Obama
M - thought they were always hungry and smelling the food
S - for Cubans (that is their small way of getting one's attention - a hissing sort of thing)
T - thought they were all Brits.
W - thought they had a bad stutter
X - marks the spot was already taken
and so on and so forth...
*giggles...

When you say your silly wit.
I knew silly is what I'll get.
Alas, I truely expected a tale
Of how's Toby's defenses would fail
Instead, all I got was this silly gists
Of Cooks, and curses, and fried fish! ((flining fist would have rhymed better but I was happy with it))
All in all, it was worth the read.
Your silly lies were all I need
To crack a smile and let it out
To laugh, giggle, and give a happy shout.
And with that I say adeau (no idea how to spell it))
And may happy times come to you.
