So, I came back to Mortimer and Edgemont NC. Abandoned towns, lonely and deep in the forests near Brown Mountain. We set up camp near a cliff face, just enough of a gap in the trees above the camp to watch the stars. One of my good friends and I talk about shooting the opening above camp, and I talk about trying to capture basic star trails.... SO.... This, is a 15 minute exposure, because as my friend says "You're not wasting film to try". So, I hooked up a Wifi connection with my camera, and began doing 15 minute shots, adjusting exposure settings.... low and behold, I caught something I liked.
