A portrait of my grandparents' late dog, Dallas, an Australian Cattle dog, otherwise known as a blue heeler.
A few years back, my Papaw asked if I could draw Dallas for him. Well after several attemps, I gave up for a while. My skills were not very good and I couldn't produce anything I actually liked. So I got the urge to try again a few weeks back, and decided to try this photo of him. I took the picture back when he and I would go running around in my grandparents' pasture/woods. And I think this is the best picture I have of him because it seems like he could stare right through to your soul with his eyes. I swear, he had the most beautiful amber eyes, hence the title. ;)
I can't wait to suprise my Papaw with this!

XD Haha it's okay, and yes, he was missing a few teeth because he had gotten hit by a car when he was younger. Though that's not what killed him: he had been eating some of the dog food that had been contaminated ( or whatever it was that happened a while back and certain types of dog food were the culprit ). We didn't realize it until it was too late.
Anywho, that's why his bottom teeth look odd. He didn't chase cars after that! XD
