Ladies and gentleman, this is how you spend a pandemic while only mildly loosing your mind. Behold, Prinz Eugen the noble knight. This is by far my largest ship model, and first true heavy cruiser, more of a battle cruiser, really. This is a Trumpeter kit, with Flyhawk photo etch add ons. This is how she sailed on her Norwegian campaign in 1943, before getting her bow blown off. Interestingly, this ship survived the war. She provided cover for German refugees in the Baltic, and became an American war prize. She ended up getting nuked at Bikini.

The swastikas are covered up as per policy of this site. I was torn about including them, but decided to, in order to remember that she didn’t sail for the Care Bears. Keep in mind I completely repudiate the ideology of the government that built her.
