It's a story. At FWA 10 I'm trying to think of something to have Liz draw. For the life of me I can't come up with anything decent and then I think, hey how about one of those spotted cats as a cop... I bet she could do it really well. So, I filled out the form and I said: A female sergal cop walking the beat. Then I went off thinking, "Yeah a spotted kitty cat!"

The next day I get the sketchbook back and I have this in there. Liz says she kept looking for different references and that's what she found and then it dawns on me ... I should have said SERVAL not SERGAL.

The whole mix up was my fault. But I have to say I'm happy at how this turned out. I mean if I saw a female or male one of these coming down the street with legal authority to kick my ass if I get uppity ... I can safely say I would be a boyscout for the rest of my natural life. I mean seriously ... rows of pointy teeth, a gun and the right attitude can say a lot.
