These are two of my characters from my WIP stories set in my UFIS world: Ambassadors R’far and Bulan, from the Vidari Republic and United Nations (Terra) respectively.

The Vidari are a fennec like race that holds large swaths of territory in the Orion Arm of the Milky Way galaxy. A parliamentary republic where the head of state, or kaldo, is also the leader of their religion. They have a strong alliance with the United Federation of Interstellar Systems, or UFIS, an even more powerful federal republic.

Caught right in the middle of the two by an ancient treaty lies Earth, or Terra. Having just achieved warp capabilities, both the Vidari Republic and UFIS see it as their job to keep Terra safe and within their combined influence. Hence interspecies couple R’far as the Vidari ambassador, and Bulan, a Terran from Indonesia, as the Terran ambassador.

This is a long time pet project of mine, being worked on in private for years, and to an extent is my homage to Star Trek, with the Vidari and UFIS being the Bajorans and Federation respectively.
