Yes, indeed this religion as I've called it, is "A blind mans path". What I mean by this is that this religion tricks and deceives it's "followers" into thinking that the religion they are now a part of is the one and only true path to their God.
In this essay I shall be trying to convince you that not only is this religion wrong, but is corrupting the very people who follow it.
Now that I have the introduction done and that you understand what I shall be talking about, you will be reading this at your own choice and free will, religious readers, especially of the one I am going to be talking about are strongly advised NOT to read this as it may upset, or perhaps even anger them, without any further delays, I shall begin.
Christianity
OK, I shall get right to the point and jump in by saying this, God is a sadistic egomaniac, how you may ask? simple. "He" assuming this deity in which Christians believe in is a male has already put itself in the way of ridicule, the very fact Christians and/or "He" himself has claimed the very name of what it is to be "God" is most likely the pinnacle of any ego. Let me put this into perspective for you. The CEO of a large company steps down and then somebody takes his place, now this person, the new "CEO" of said company is very happy about his success, so happy that he now has paid money to change his very name to simply; CEO, this is now his name, this name will appear everywhere he is registered. He claims to be CEO of all CEO's and all companies everywhere, even to be above world leaders. Nothing is higher than him, nothing ever will be, he is the pinnacle. This is precisely what Christians and/or "God" claim this deity to be.
How is he a sadist? again, simple. Natural disasters happen all the time, near every day some form of natural occurrence will negatively effect humanity and other beings. When such events occur Christians flock together in the thousands and start to preach and pray about how this is Gods judgment upon man for being so damn sinful and being corrupt and how we must repent out sins! yet when something positive occurs, maybe an earthquake occurs, or maybe a forest fire starts and some people are saved by chance that maybe a roof fell on some people yet they all survived unharmed or the forest fire decided to curve around a village saving hundreds, they claim this to be another act of God, that he loves us all and saved said people from disaster. Yes, it must of been God and only God who could of done this, not the well built structure or well trained efficient safety services or other natural factors such as wind blowing a fire in another direction. Christians refuse to look at the facts, they pout and say "No! god did it!" and cover their ears and hum loudly at the world.
God and the idea that Christianity attempts to give off about itself hypocritical, "Love thy neighbor" what? unless he's: not christian, is a homosexual or for a matter of fact isn't a brainwashed floating spaghetti monster follower like yourself?
Not only this but Christianity is just down right ridiculous, as you may or may have not heard, some Christians now think it is inappropriate to -HUG- someone from the front, instead they say you should hug them from the side to ensure neither people are sexually aroused, think about that for a minute, just think. People from certain countries and customs think it to be normal for a man to greet a man by hugging him and then giving him a welcoming kiss on either cheek whilst the other man does so as well and this is never found sexually arousal and most people would see this happen and understand it is of their custom to greet each other like this, much as it is out custom to shake hands and occasionally hug someone depending on how well you know them. I though abstinence was extreme, but this really does just take the cake. When I heard about this I was honestly lost for words. I may have laughed slightly too I must admit but who wouldn't? This is just absurd!
I'm going to conclude this section now. As a note, this is not supposed to be fully correct, these are my views and rants that are personal to me. this is fully my opinion and others may differ from this entirely, this does not make my statements wrong, whatsoever, this just makes what I have stated, Different.
What do I think over all?
Religion should be kept separate from any decisions.
Religion should NOT be a factor in any decision, ever.
Religion corrupts people, religion is a security blanket for the weak and scared.
Religion is broken, weak and easily disregarded as false by the slightest accusation or question of correctness and the fact if any of it is even real.
Science and evolution how ever thrives on such things. everything that questions science brings about further research and ultimately results in a stronger proof of what is being questioned.

Yeah, the problem is we tend to mix up our history with our faith. It is true that Christianity is one of the most important Western developments ever, and it did give an umbrella to people who were starting to develop more humanist ideas. But that does not mean faith in Jesus is what gave us a US Constitution or subways. Those things are often explicitly secular.
I'm not a believer, but I don't like to be un-necessarily harsh to believers. I prefer to debate with sound reason. I think in the long run that is the only way to counter the effects of religion that truly are destructive, such as anti-homosexuality, sexism, and basic intolerance of other ideas. It starts with NOT being a Biblical literalist. Do that and you've accomplished a great deal.
Oh, and draw comics! You cannot go wrong if you draw comics!

Well as I said in what I've wrote in the essay itself and within the comments you'll see that I got bored and decided to write this to give me something to do whilst I was in a less than good mood, and numerous times I had said that this may upset some readers and that they shouldn't come yelling at me because they didn't like what I said. You put yourself through reading this, nothing and nobody told or forced you too. These are my views and opinions. Also as I said before, Religion is easy to write about hence why I chose this topic. This is not supposed to be anything new, I did this for fun.
Hmm, well I did do something half-assed and maybe I did want to see what people would think about my writing but originally I felt like writing this and then I wanted to upload it to easily show people that I know what I have written, I didn't want nor ask for people I did not know to praise or go into some sissy fit about what A LOT of have said in the past.
Well here you go again, repeating yourself despite me actually giving full and completely valid reasons to why this writing is not perfect which you expect it to be, my spelling actually is not bad at all, my grammar isn't worse and if you think this then you obviously don't spend much time on the internet now do you? you're accusing me of false things.

That just about says everything about christians. If theres one thing I can't stand the most, its when they call people like me close minded fro being and Atheist. So Alessa, I don't exactly wish to argue over why I uploaded this with you because that is off-topic and point less, all you are doing here is making scenarios to why I may have uploaded this, which is pointless because I know why I uploaded this and I have said this reason twice to you, but it seems to be you're just ignoring that because you don't want to settle for anything other than the victor so you can plant your ego flag and say you have beaten me in an argument that holds no value and that no one cares for.
an interesting if brief discussion of some of the more heavy failing points of religion. while i acknowledge that religion has done good, i am of the mind that it has cause more harm then it has prevented. one of the points i deeply agree on is religion's annoying habit of simply ignoring the facts and deciding to do things on blind faith alone. Also, Religion is often used as a way to oppress or control a population, to often violently. while some churches, and some religions do not exhibit this, many more do. all in all, interesting piece of writing, i praise your bravery in posting this.
It seems to me that the only so-called "Christians" being mentioned here are the spiteful, hateful, judgmental ones, who probably aren't even Christian to begin with, and follow a false Gospel.

I understand why you are so frustrated with "Christians" because this is pretty much all one ever hears about anymore. The judging, hate-filled, "turn-or-burn," hypocritical type. But Jesus himself says (Yes I'm going to quote scripture to you) "Stop judging others, and you will not be judged. For others will treat you as you treat them. Whatever measure you use in judging others, it will be used to measure how you are judged. And why worry about a speck in your friend's eye when you have a log in your own?"
Isn't that interesting? Jesus said 2000 some years ago that because people judge others, other people will use those same judgments to make their own about those who started it all. Not far from the truth, is it? Because people like The Family out in Kansas (or whatever they're called) and those guys who think it's wrong to kill a baby but okay to shoot up an abortion clinic judge others so harshly, people like yourself in turn have plenty of grounds to say that Christians are ignorant and hypocritical, because all they ever see is the judgment side of people who claim to be believers.
As for the hugging from the side thing, I and pretty much all of my Christian friends would agree that that concept A.) is pretty silly, and B.) has no biblical backing whatsoever. So it seems to me that those choices were made on more of a personal standpoint than a biblical one.
For the part about God being a sadist, understand that, if I believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior, that I also believe in God for who He is and what he's done: All-powerful, All-knowing, omnipotent, completely good (meaning, he can't live with evil) etc. He created the heavens and the earth, all the plants and animals, and the first humans. (Now let's not get into the whole evolution/creation debate, because I didn't say he couldn't have done that through evolution.)
So with that little preamble, basically what I'm saying is that I believe that Adam and Eve were once in the garden of Eden. In God's presence. Mankind was With God. He let them do whatever they want, so long as they didn't eat the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But Satan deceived them, and they ate, and God was pretty much not happy with them. Because he can't live with sin, he sent Adam and Eve to live on the earth, away from the presence of God. Think of it this way. What's the absence of heat? Cold. What's the absence of light? Darkness. What's the absence of good? Evil. That's what's going on today. We live in a world full of evil people (including you and me) and evil things, all because Satan had his way with humankind.
But that's why Jesus died on the Cross. So that our sins would be atoned for and we could once again have a relationship with God if they cried out to him as their Savior. However, many people misrepresent that and think that it gives them the grounds to spew hate from their mouths and hearts. It disgusts me.
I hope I've given a little light to what it means to be Christian. I think the term "Devil's Advocate" has never been so ironically applicable.

Well said. While there are things that are "neutral" perhaps, I was speaking strictly of the state of the imperfections of the world today. If we lived on a good, perfect world (which is to say from my standpoint, with God) there would be no terrible natural disasters, death, rape, genocide, etc. However, we don't, and evil things happen, because we are a fallen people.

Of course. I understand why you feel the way you do about Christians. I hate the way a lot of them behave. But Christians, just like anyone else on the planet, aren't perfect and make all kinds of mistakes.
It's my hope that you can emerge from this discussion and understand that the way everyone always hears about Christians behaving isn't the way they're supposed to, and the ones who are usually quiet aren't nearly as bad as the loud annoying ones, and because of this little (debate? I am aware there are in fact a number of good minded Christians (Such as yourself) who don't swim with the crowed that use the "Turn-or-burn" thought process, it saddens me that you are a part of a small group of Christians, if more where like you I would myself consider Christianity but then I would contradict myself as I am a curious person and I want to know the truth, usually I tend to side with what has solid evidence and so on.
I understand my views are against the more extreme side of Christianity but I'll state again, I wrote this to blow off steam and to do something constructive yet simple.
I understand my views are against the more extreme side of Christianity but I'll state again, I wrote this to blow off steam and to do something constructive yet simple.

SCIENCE = Knowledge.
RELIGION = Wisdom.
Without religion, especially Christianity, the most moral of them all, (despite your ignorance and fatal flaws in your logic, this IS true) then we would have nothing to hold us back. The government, and the world leaders, would be at the top of the food chain (or so they believe) and would easily enslave everyone, having no KNOWN supernatural force to stop them and reconsider the wrongs. I am well-aware that while God may be considered a "sadistic egomaniac", you must remember this...
SADISM: When God existed, He created the archangels/the archangels appeared/were in his company, and amidst their numbers were Lucifer. The ONLY way that God could've allowed for humanity to be plagued is if these archangels were PSEUDO-OMNIPOTENT, as in, a few pounds short of a heavyweight champion. To not be able to defeat God, but still influence the Earth; bordering on the edge of infinite power. Thus said, evil could still be passed, and humanity could still be wrenched from purity and hope, like what happened with Adam and Eve.
EGO: First of all, God is OMNIPOTENT. As in, He can brag all He wants and say any huge praise about Him and it will be TRUE. Stating a fact and just bragging and kissing up to your self-esteem are separate. As He has created us in HIS image, we have every right to worship Him. Without Him, we, alongside the multiverse and other dimensions, would cease to even exist to begin with. (He created everything, apparently)
Now, in relation to the many branches of Christianity and the misinterpretation of the Bible, I want to make it clear that people have tried over and over to fix every error. Eventually, we will have corrected any and all other errors as time progresses and more scribes/translators pour CAREFULLY over the pages of the oldest-written copies. Throughout history, though, people have sinned and decided to change the Bible so as to make their wrongs acceptable, (Mormons, although not really Christians) or decided to add on to the Bible because the Apostles aren't the only ones who should be allowed to write in this, like the saints. (Catholicism) I have traced the religions of today back to the time when all 66 books were complete, back to the Apostles before modern spirituality tampered with God's word, and determined which was the denomination following closest to God's teachings.
NOW BEFORE YOU SAY THAT GOD DIDN'T WRITE THE BIBLE, understand that God composed the APOSTLES to write it. The words were made by God, and written by the Apostles. (physically) Kind of like someone telling you what to write... Thus, God IS the Author of the Bible.
Feel free to blaspheme me and my faith. I will graciously answer all of your quarrels with the utmost sincerity and logic.
