And thats another character down!
this picture feature Golem in his basic form (right) and in his hyper form (left).
Unfortunately, I am not very happy with the result because, to make a long story short, it was a "one-try only" sketch so no touch up was allowed.
A bit of a miss unfortunately.
First, the horn is there only due to a misunderstanding and is not supposed to be there.
And Second, for the hyper form, I asked for an armored form like this http://imageshack.us/photo/my-image.....ansformed.jpg/ with a design reminiscent of the engraving in old books. you can already see that on the arm in the reference image.
Anyway, this drawing still counts as the character so here goes his story.
He is the fourth and last member of Team Ravagers.
He is the heavyweight of the team with his weight of 10 tons, since hes a Stone Golem
And all characters come from the same farmland village. He lives with his father (another golem) and his grand-father, a rock-type Hem (the "humans" sort of, of that world), who is one of the inventors who participated into the creation of a magical ritual that would allow the creation of childrens for couples that are either non-biologically compatible or non-organics to begin with. His son (Golem's father) was created through this.
The adventure start when everyone undergoes the tradition of the "Call of Adventure". Normally, the tradition happen when the person is considered "old enough" (which varies from family to family since its undergoing that tradition that signifies reaching adulthood, regardless of actual age) but since the kids of that village are all friends and fairly close in age, they decided among themselves to start it at the same time. Golem is the oldest of all 8 starting characters, at 20 years old.
Over the course of the game, Golem as the capacity of changing the material his body is composed of thanks to various magically imbued ores. Since a golem Is made of ANY inanimated material (including no longer animated, if you want to be creepy), the range of material is quite large : clay, rock, bone, coral, adamantium, mythril, flesh (not featured).
Each material as its own powers.
Golem start as a clay golem and his preferred material is Rock. He REALLY love being a Rock Golem.
When he becomes one, he'll discover that he has quite the affinity with the Earth element.
So much, that after meeting a Coral golem that decided to become a water elemental, he decided to go see if he couldn't do the same with Earth elemental. Note that even after his conversion he can still, change his body's composition with Ore.
He do manage it and after the main story, went to live in the Elemental Plane of the Earth as an earth elemental. It does come at a price since he now becomes a summonable critter.
Also, his personnality. Hes the loud boisterous guy of the team with a deep wise streak in him, adept at pointing the best decision. Hes happy and loud.
Now on to his Specs.
Hes the muscle guy of his team, fighting with a boxing style punches. Big and slow, hard-hitting and can scoff up lots of damage, hes the tank.
His conversion to earth elemental make him trade some of his defence for more speed. Still makes him the one with the best Defence in the Ravagers but not of the whole characters (thats for Necria).
