Time. First you have to have a kick ass master. (By the way that is why they thing is as smooth as it is. Kick ass master.) Then you need silicon rubber RTV mold making material. Once you mold is poured and cured. There are several ways to to that, and the mold takes 4 to six hours to cure. You mix the resin, pour and wait for that to cure, usually from 7 to 15 minutes depending on the resin used. I prefer longer pot times.
I'm leaving out steps like degassing the mold, pressure casting and other techniques. It takes time, money and practice. Mostly money and practice. And don't try it with the overly simplified directions above. Read the directions on the bottles, look on line for guides.
But first learn to sculpt. You need masters. The above is the result of some damn fine sculpting. You will never ever get a cast better than the original.
