A mystical creature that is made from pure gold, and his feathers would grant invincibility to anyone who holds one. Aegishjalmur would always see righteousness in anyone, even if they are pure evil. He was abducted by the Demon Lord in a vain hopes that he would become invulnerable and immortal, but alas, it did not work the way he wanted. Aegishjalmur did see some good in the Demon Lord, but he sensed danger, so he made his feathers useless in the Demon Lord's presence.

After being held in captive for days, his golden sheen faded to a mustard colored sheen, he was being starved. He can only eat gold leaves grown on special trees where he came from. When Dogtooth came for this power that he sensed -- he was planning on absorbing the soul of Aegishjalmur, but the Demon Lord sprung a trap. After seeing this henious action of the Demon Lord, Aegishjalmur decided to transfer some of his power over to Ratchet's father who is also in captive by the Demon Lord. This caused him to break free from the chains that held him in place. He also smashed the cage that imprisoned Aegishjalmur, freeing him.

After witnessing the ultimate sacrifice that Ratchet's father did for his brother, Aegishjalmur realized that his soul was so pure that he would do anything to save his younger brother even at the cost of his life. As he transferred the power over to his younger brother, Aegishjalmur was attracted to Dogtooth's pocket... he had golden leaves!

Aegishjalmur was sulking in the background, with his feathers weakly showing a glimmer of gold, but were all brown -- luckily, Dogtooth had several gold leaves that he was saving for the Elixir he was making. He gave them to Aegishjalmur, in turn it made his feathers glow radiantly in pure gold. Dogtooth realized this creature was the power that he was after, but he told Aegishjalmur that he is no longer interested in his soul. Aegishjalmur's powers was fully restored, and he blessed Dogtooth with permanent invulnerability as long Dogtooth is in his full demon form because of the Demon Lord's soul needs to be in the forefront for it to work.

Aegishjalmur was a small creature, no bigger than a regular house cat. Since this creature was a god, he could become invisible and go in small spaces unnoticed. He spreads awe to those who are good, but terror to those who are bad. After Dogtooth saved him, he went forth to bless those who are good. He often appears at times when a good soul was mortally wounded, and will bring them to the gates of Heaven. For those who are evil, Aegishjalmur would condemn and toss them to the shores of Hell.
