A follow-up of sorts to my “Gatling Recoil Cannon” post, where I attempt to mimic the Dreamkeepers art style in real-time 3D, in Unreal Engine 4. This time, I created a custom Shock Trooper, in order to test my shaders over a wider variety of materials, both organic and synthetic. My goal was to keep the in-engine end result as close to the look of the graphic novel as possible. The render is pulled directly from UE4, with no additional touch-up work done afterward.
