Dairycon is ALMOST a Week away! ...and I haven't started printing anything yet. Eeep! Too bad i can't sell this on a tee-shirt. :p
I thought it might look kewl to put a more 'Classic' Prime in that one scene from Transformers 2.
I tried i different shading technique this time- painting on a Darken layer and placing it above the rest of the color layers. Seems to add to the cellshade-ness of the already saturated color scheme.
Actually works a bit more efficiently- I Still like playing w/ the Dodge and Burn tools tho.
Gahhh- still worried that it'd look better withOUT the text and silhouettes...

Touche' That was one of my Fav episodes too! Honestly, I think ANY one of the G1 Transformers could have dominated the Beast Wars. Which is why i spent every episode crossing my fingers that they might bring somebody back- oldschool chassis and all! ^///^
Tho, to be fair, Beast Wars WAS a deputized science vessel chasing down a group of criminals- Maximals just seemed more fragile than the Autobots.
Yeah, the Cyberton version of Starscream DID look pretty kewl, and made a great Homage to the 'War Within' prequels. I was significantly LESS impressed with Thundercracker in Cybertron tho. >.<
In the G1 Bios, Thundercracker was the ONLY one, of Megatron's troops, to question the Decepticon Cause! I'd never seen DOUBT in a villain before- he ALMOST could have ended up like Dinobot. ...that, and he was the only G1 Main Character toy I had as a kid. ^^;;

Yeahy, I quite liked Beast Wars overall, it seemed to have a fair bit of depth to the characters and a range of different scenarios...
Cybertron verson... refresh my memory, that was the one when he had flick-swords attached to his arms where his cannons once were? or am I mixing up subtitles...
Huh... so did that end up displaying itself in the show much? afraid I didn't end up seeing much of the original series...

Unfortunately, no- Thundercrackers rebellious streak really only surfaced as grumbles against Starscream. Of course, after the hundredth attempt to assassinate Megatron, pretty much ALL the Decepticons would complain about him. There was a TON of interesting stuff on the old character Bios that never came up in the series. Originally, Prime was supposed to have a psychic link between his main body, the trailer, and Roller- so he could multitask several areas of the battlefield!
Cybertron (aka Galaxy Force) was the one where they were hunting down keys, right? So yeah- that was the version of Starscream you were referring to before, right?
Did they ever actually USE weapons in that show, or was it all using Cyberkey-powers to make the bad guys blast off like Team Rocket? ^^;;;
I gotta say tho- Transformers Animated is a CLOSE second to Beast Wars! At least as far as storytelling. ^^ It was kinda fun to see Prime as a Rookie-leader. And the Autobots functioning as 'underdogs' in every engagement.
But as far as favorites- The Original Transformers: The Movie is STILL the kewlest thing in the history of the universe. ^///^

Yeah... I don't put much stock in the bios put on the packets of the toys really...
Yeah yeah, that's the one... that was also the first time since the G1 movie that starscream wore that poncy crown if I remember correctly...
Yeah, I haven't seem much of TFA... but I think it did have it's strong points, strongly defined characters and motivations for one.

Ooh! just remembered! If you liked Armada/Cybertron Starscream, you should check out TF Spotlight: Drift, if you get the chance!
Drift is an Autobot Swordsman, (dual-wield style) who used to serve the Decepticons durring their first uprising. (Origin of Megatron- also a good read) -but left the 'Cons after they started hunting down all the Neutral Cybertronians. Apparently- there were more factions than just Autobots and Decepticons- its just that Each one was wiped out, except for the Autobots. To this effect- Drift carries a third (allegedly ancient) sword on his back, that he has never used, which bears the symbol of one of the forgotten factions.
Thought it sounded kinda kewl. ^.^

Oh- and his quote makes a lot of sense as most of the Decepticons were apparently Slaves and Gladiators during the Golden Age of Cybertron. Funny how that struggle for freedom devolved into a genocidal campaign, eh? :p
