The SoC has been struggling with enemy heavy armor for a while. The Pauza P-50 works excellent against powered and metal armor, but it's heavy and can only be effectively used as a part of a squad. Missile launchers are heavier, and are reserved for emergency use or anti vehicle squads against the occasional pre-war armored vehicle or the more common vertibird. Pulse weapons can shut down robots but power armor users and metal armor aren't wounded by it to nearly the same degree. Magna, was given a stroke of genius while reading of various pre-war prototypes and experiments leading to the first Microcket prototypes. While still technically in the prototype stages the weapon is considered stable and reliable enough to field.
The left and top rifles are the two earliest prototypes. The next two are the latest prototypes, with tactical rails becoming standard and a recent test of a belt conversion to see if belts make up in ammo capacity what the magazines tend to lack in. The final two are unique variants.
"Vulcan": Black camoflauge, rangefinder enabled scope, belt fed, fine tuned barrel, lowered rate of fire.
"Dirae": "Black tiger" warstripe camo, increased rate of fire, maximum capacity drum magazine, lock on capable scope.
Ammunition as shown:
Common: Incendiary, Low Velocty Frag, HE
Special purpose: Smoke grenade, Low Velocity Syringe, Training "floater" foam filled round.
Rare/Experimental: White Phosphorus Incendiary, Pulse Blast munition, G.N.O.M.E. (Guided Nuclear Ordinance Munition, Experimental)
