When I first designed Ill I was suffering more from my depression than usual. As I've gone quite a bit better I've found his design to be too bleak, and I've been wanting to redesign him for a while. As a bonus I've had time to learn a lot more about hyenas since so I think the new ref looks better. :D

Updates:
Since I used the mange to represent my mental state, Ill's skin is a lot better and he has grown back quite a bit of hair with a proper mane and a fuller tail. I also found the shredded ears way too gruesome and I hated how asymmetrical they were so I've given him cropped but properly healed ears. They are very expressive ears, and a bit floppy like on a greyhound. I also changed the sickly pink skin to grey-ish purple, I think it looks better with the orange and yellow details.

Optional:
- Anthro or feral-ish body: For feral-ish both bipedal and quadrupedal are fine, but the front paws are sorta usable as hands anyway.
- Clothes or nude: For clothes he wears casual clothes in any color: T-shirt/tank and briefs/shorts/jeans/slacks. His favorite hoodie is the same color as his eyes.
- Piercings or no piercings: I'm generally too lazy to draw them anyway.
- Alternative hair, either just mane or the worlds tiniest man-bun.
- Cropped ears: I don't mind him having normal hyena ear shaped ears.

- A spotted hyena
- Scorpio ♏, born in November
- Chronically tired due to depression and meds
- Slightly worried about his gender identity and sometimes use they/them instead
- Totally secure in his sexuality though, only likes males
- Not physical, super uncomfortable touching others
- Much less infested with mange than before
- Convinced he's totally hot and cute
