The way I imagine Panthuar, I like to think that he's one of those mysterious guarians who can only be seen by you, kind of like how Malvuar is! Wereguar too, though Wereguar is usually a little more stealthy than this hahaha

What happens if he catches you?

As a guarian, he has no intention of harming you thankfully! The way I see it at least, he's just making sure you're alright. He might catch you later when you're a little more isolated, but what happens there is up to you!

well, that would definitely be surreal to experience, i like how the end of his tail seems to be closer than the rest of him.
if i could and had the chance to, i would definitely see what happens if i were to grab onto his tail, or even ask for a ride on his back across the city.

How would it seem like from the perspective of someone who can't see him if he were to carry the one he's protecting on his back?

Aaaaah I can understand that being really tempting! At such a giant size, I can guarantee he'd be soft. As for actually riding him around the city, to be honest, that's a really good question! I hadn't even thought that far ahead yet. Although it's vague, I feel like the guarians would avoid situations that would draw major attention to themselves so I feel like there would be some mechanic preventing you from being spotted. Perhaps if you rode him, you would gain the same aura of 'invisibility' that he has. Or who knows, maybe the alternative might happen where he becomes visible, but you only seem to conveniently ride him in situations where he can be much more stealthy (ie, riding him when he's not quite as large as this).

While it might be vague and nebulous, i can imagine that said aura of theirs would wrap around anything living in direct contact with them.
From there, i can see a number of things happening since they seem to have some kind of natural perception filter set to stealth.
either the rider ends up disappearing as you said, which will likely happen to most of them, people who are more perceptive would likely manage to pierce that layer of it and actually notice that the rider is there and maybe even riding something like a bike or something else, but some would likely see straight through and notice both of them outright, someone the Guarians can likely detect and avoid to remain hidden since i doubt said aura or perception filter works on cameras.
I would imagine that on request of the one they are protecting, they can reveal themselves for a short amount of time.

It would be interesting to do an RP with one of these involved, but i've gotta ask, how do they end up deciding to protect someone?

Aaaaah those are all actually really fascinating ideas! A small collection of people being able to see the guarians has some fascinating implications that make the whole thing almost rather story like, which I really love! There'd be some fascinating scenarios you could build with this.

As for how they decide, the guarians are actually rather simple minded, instinctive creatures in that sense! I imagine that they basically just pick who to be friends with based on whoever they "get a good feeling" from. The guarians have a good intuition as to who'd be receptive to them, which is exactly the kind of thing they draw warmth from.

glad you liked the idea, since it literally took me only a few minutes to come up with, with most of it just looking through the art you've made.

I can imagine someone able to see them confusing them for inflatable toys from time to time, and i would imagine that if they are brought to the ocean or a pool area, then as long as they aren't moving, then they would likely even let just about anyone see them.
So i would imagine that they let themselves get seen moving to test the waters so to speak, and with some kind of instinctive empathy allowing them to gauge their reaction.
One thing that would be really amusing would be if a guarian was to focused on one person to notice someone else sneak up on their back.

I think that sort of stuff all depends on the guarians in question! Once you get down to the very specific details like this, I intentionally like to keep things more open ended so they can be left to interpretation! For stuff like this, I'd just be happy if you picked whatever worked best for your scenario!

I'd imagine he'd only be this way when your out and about on your every day life in a situation he can't easily have a presence in. Any time you two get privacy, I'm sure he'd happily give you all the hugs you'd ever need!
