I ink with a brush pen (pentel) on normal printing paper, I ink directly over the sketch and erase it afterwards.
(this counts for 'quick' drawings, for more complex stuff I ink on bristol using the lightbox)

Not as long as you wait long enough for the ink to dry. Sometimes I use a hairdryer to make it dry quicker, also because I tend to blotch things with my hand. Actually, if you look closely to the foot you'll see some blotching, I retouched that on the computer. (I can also use white paint like I did with the date which I always do wrong the first half of a new year XD)
One issue though is if you erase too often while sketching, the paper will get rough and hard to ink on. Ofcourse that's not a problem when you don't use overly cheap printing paper.
