Hopefully that's not one of the deadlier varieties of jellyfish in terms of venom but that would definitely be extremely painful and getting continually stung on the hands I don't think will make it any easier to remove the jellyfish so there could be great potential for asphyxiation.
When meeting a jellyfish in person it's probably best to maintain some distance.
