Hey everyone! Here's an updated reference of my shark character, Yaazu, by
shysiren
Out of all the degenerates that call Haven home, none are more feared than the pirate Yaazu. A towering pillar of muscles and scars, Yaazu is known for his vicious behavior and immoral attitude. A creature of sensation, Yaazu relishes both pleasure and pain. Whether he's cracking skulls during a brawl, or indulging himself with some wench at the tavern - Yaazu finds euphoria in losing himself in whatever moment he's experiencing.
Now during his earlier years of piracy, Yaazu spent them raiding rival ships, and pillaging settlements along the Mainland coast. But surprisingly now, he spends his time at port in Haven, keeping order around the island city. The reason for this however isn't for love of its inhabitants, but actually as homage to the one person Yaazu actually respects - the top Pirate Lord and leader of Haven, Markus "Long Tooth" Ulrich. Growing up, Yaazu was taken in by Markus and essentially became a father figure to the young lad. He showed Yaazu the ropes and instilled upon him everything he knew about piracy and survival; transforming him into the feared buccaneer Yaazu is today. And even though age, wealth, and marriage has cooled his mentor's once infamous bloodthirsty demeanor, Yaazu is more than happy to make up for it with his own; serving as an enforcer for his beloved patron.
Surprisingly however, this act of devout loyalty is actually quite easy, as during his rise to power, Markus became well-loved and respected by virtually everyone in Haven. But if there's one thing that's always rampant is in this world, it's fools, especially those that think they're entitled to the fruits of other's labor. Thankfully though, whenever one dares to act, Yaazu makes sure they don't stick around long even to upset the order in Haven.
Needless to say, whatever you're a longtime resident, or simply passing thru Haven, you best mind your Ps and Qs in the last remnant of civilization, or you'll quickly find that the savages that lie outside its walls to not be the most vicious thing you'll encounter.
