Why did I choose this animal for her?

Carol Danvers - Lioness

This is a very recent character that I meet, but the first 10 mins of her movie, inmediatelly know which animal to choose for her: a LIONESS!

Before I knew more about this character, a friend gave me the idea of a Phoenix bc she fly covered by energy power as if she was on fire. Thanks to that idea, I considered making a kind of Griffin but instead of an eagle, a Phoenix and a Lioness. You can see the first design as I tried to mix them but at the end I wasn't so convinced and decided to make a simple lioness. Sometimes, the simplest is the best choice. Btw, you can see different helmet designs for each design! To finish, I decided to choose a lioness because they represent strength, to be on the alert always and to want to protect. They basically do the "dirty" work. Also,Carol cuts her hair and wears it short like a lioness but these can also have mane like the males (long hair). What doesn't fit so much is that they work in groups...

I consider the Lionesses as a symbol of feminism and fighters, and this is Carol's character represents!
