If only it wasn't for that pesky American search plane (Catalina) Bismarck could've lasted a few more months, maybe years like the Tirpitz, BUUUUUT, YOU DONT SINK THE PRIDE OF THE BRITISH NAVY AND GET AWAY WITH IT XD

Master of the seas for a few centuries, but you know after hundreds of years of warfare and rising rivals they lost that title post WW2 (imo)

To say i love the story of this ship is an understatement, as a history geek and ship enthusiast, the Bismarck was one of the first stories/ships I read about and since then I was in love with big battleships and some of their final missions (Yamato is another favorite)

The amount of work and detail you've put into this is ASTOUNDING. The first thing that caught my eye was the flaming glow of the explosion. You can see how the tower is bending against the impact. As my eyes go from the top to the bottom, I see how the cannons have been contorted, the sensation the ships been dealt a fatal blow.

The other part of the eye-catching scene is the two sailors. One whose clinging to life and the other whose facial expression is one realization that their time is nearly up. This combined with the splashes of water, the smoke and grey sky, creates an atmosphere of intensity and foreboding.

I am, also, open to one other interpretation. There has been a debate that the Bismark was also scuttled and interestingly enough the sailor who is standing has, what looks like, a watch in his hand. This with his expression could suggest that there is desperate anticipation ( a countdown) of something else about to happen.
