Kimo is more than Mercury's partner and Plaything, he's also Mercs best friend since Kimo actually enjoys his diaper antics. Mercury always wears Kimo (unless they have a diaper stash), but when on or off a job, Mercury tends to wear Kimo when they go into towns or villages. Since Kimo is wanted in various places, this is Mercs way of protecting. Unless they're at a town that barely recognizes him, in which case he's a diapercritter having a ride in Mercury's diaper. If anyone so much as approaches his Poochpamp for investigating, he'll threaten to wear them. Its one of the ways he looks out for him from the mean Officer Magnezones or other hunters looking for him. Crescent would go after him, but since he's guarded by Mercury, Crescent never bothers. Kimo does the same and looks out for Mercury.
