I absolutely adore this style. Immediately makes me think of a graphic novel or comic. If I could give one suggestion, I'd ditch the crosshatching in the background. Fine detail pulls things forward in a composition, so you have this lovely dynamic cow in the foreground but the fine lines in the background make the whole image seem flat. Composition-wise I would also either cut off a bit of the horn or add more of the grass in the mouth. I hope that makes sense, I realize its probably just a sketch but I can't help but give some input when I see a really awesome piece with a few nitpicks. :)

I saw one of these at the Philadelphia Zoo right up close. He was just laying there, making eyes at me as if I could just hop the fence and snuggle up beside him. Got some keen pics of him too. I should post one of them...
