WOW, a new submission! And slightly dated, but still good!
Taken by a wonderful coworker in December 2009, this is me in the office at my proofreader's desk, browsing FurAf---I mean, working very hard while having some patented walrus coffee (search for it on FA.....trust me. ;) ).
I had surprised everyone at the office Christmas party by crashing it in suit and with a stocking full of treats. I hope I made more people smile than scared! I think I did. ;)
More photos and submissions to come! Stay tuned! *HUGE FAT FLIPPER HUGS*
Note: I particularly love this pic, because you can actually see my eyes in it, and it makes my expression extra-cute, for once! LOL

*wraps my flippers REALLY CLOSE around my beloved grandsonbear*
Thank you so much, bear!!!! I was REALLY hoping you'd catch this photo first! Hehehe....what you DON'T see in the pic is that I have my flipper feet propped up on the desk off the right side of the photo. :) Sadly, the other photos I have of that position don't show my face well....but I may post them if I can!! Stay tuned! *hugs you close to my heart again*

You bet!!!! :-D It's part of the...Ralph Marlin series of fish-related ties, I believe. I have two: the salmon (in the photo, which is a clip-on), and a blue barracuda (a real tie, which I usually use for Royce).
Strangely enough, I CAN'T find the ties on the Ralph Marlin website!! I got mine from eBay (for a great price), and there are several more in the series. :)
This picture shows a good deal of the ties in the series, VERY comparable to my own, but it doesn't have the two I own!!! So I'm kind of confused. Still, the ties DO exist, and if you search on eBay or google, you're bound to find places where you can still buy them! :-P
I really want to talk to you soon, so get ready for a call sometime on Tuesday! *HUGE WALRUS-PUP HUG!* :-D Happy Easter!!!!!!!

You look great in there ^^
And yup, was thinking about the same, that you can see your eyes in that picture and gives it more realism. And lovely tie btw.. hehehe ^^
It must be hard to grab things with the flippers, but you seem to have that under control :P
Nice pic, i hope you had lots of fun in that party ^^
*Hugs you a big Panda hug*
Take care ^^

Hehe, see my response to PoppaWolf above for more info on the tie. :) I love it so much, but am rather confused as to why Ralph Marlin isn't selling them anymore! Maybe they're vintage now? :-/
The flippers are oven mits stuffed inside a sewn mit made of stretch velvet, and stuffed with poly-fill to make them poofier and cuter. ;) And yes, it's hard to manipulate some things with them, but I've managed pretty well so far. You should see me in those huge, heavy foot flippers!!! THOSE are more cumbersome! ;)
*hugs the panda huge and long*

Wow, fantastic pic! I didn't realize Walrus coffee had been released to the general public - last I heard it was being test marketed in selected areas:

I agree re your eyes - a perfect blend with your walrus face. The glasses obscure the edges which is always the trickiest part when using masks or prosthetics. (Personally, I'd cheat by Photoshopping the edges away.)
BTW what was your office mates' reaction to having a walrus in their midst?

Thanks a million! :) I think you were the subconscious inspiration for this pic, too! *hugs you real tight*
Yes, I ALWAYS worry about my mask and how people will see it. First off, the eye makeup that I put underneath really does help to blend with the mask itself, though you can still kind of see the edges.
Second, you're absolutely right: the glasses REALLY help cover up the edges more and help with the illusion. :) Royce always wears his spectacles anyway, so it works out! I am just praying that the head will last a few years longer.....(though a new one might actually cost me less this time...hmmm)
As to my coworkers, many of them (especially the women) loved Royce so much and squealed at his cuteness, which is why I got so many pics from one coworker. :) The president of the company himself asked me to help out at a certain event in DC with a little marketing gimmick with the company, which was a HUGE honor, and I definitely made us stand out among all the other companies there!
A few others pretended I was a Douglas Adams SEP (Somebody Else's Problem) and tried not to notice me. I think they were more uncomfortable, and I felt bad for that.
I tried to see how long I could last in the suit at work on Halloween, and I made it through about five hours before I had to return to regular clothes. :-D
Next stop, my dentist!!!!

Hehehe! Thank you, Duke! :) I like how I look more as Royce than my human self. I feel that I look more supernatural, loving, and friendly than when I'm my more tense and moody self. All the more reason why I want to make Royce a bigger part of my life.
*hugs you close, nuzzling you with my whiskers* :-P Merry Christmas from Santa Walrus, Duke. :)
