As astute and observant as Lu is.. he really didn't know?
Wait... Right... He didn't WANT to know. After all, there's no way the poor, weak human would ever DARE to defy HIM, even though she went out of her way to defy ALL of his brothers....XD

I don't think I made this clear, but just as an aside, there's a spell on the stairs that prevents demons from going up and a spell on the door that prevents non-demons from seeing it in the game; so, he had no reason to think that she /would/ see it even if she went up the stairs (which he knows she did, according to the earlier chapter, approximately 34608w3568 pages ago).
But yeah, 100% agreed that he didn't really think she'd get that far. After all, he's the avatar of PRIDE. Defy him? Never! Get past his shit? Never!
The cliffhangers won't get any better going forward, lol. I've been looking forward to / dreading this particular sequence because of what's about to hit the fan. I'm also going to be sticking it together with more duct tape than usual because one is enough when it comes to actively trying to kill Ell!
(And yeah, Lucifer def deserves it at least once, lol)
