Dragons from the birth of time itself, abjuration dragons were subjected to waves of protective magic early in their species' life, granting them defensive abilities and a will to defend the Mortal Realm at all costs. While over the centuries that will has declined, most abjuration dragons remaining still possess some form of desire to keep the world safe, even if it means having other people do their work for them.
