*OLD 2013 pic
Mother's Day was about a week in a 1/2 ago. So here's my old Mother's Day theme pic to share as a throwback from 2013. Here are the Burton Victors (Victor Van Dort and Victor Frankenstein) with their own mothers.
Panel 1: Nell Van Dort, brushing the dust off from Victor's suit, while Victor was feeling awkward.
Now, in the film "Corpse Bride," we all know what Nell's character was like; pompous, common-snob, and materialistic with fashion trends. It's like Victor VD said; "She never approve of anything." I mean, yeah; in the film, she "barely" shows a love to her own son, while William is the only parent who concerns Victor VD. She even only search her missing son to get him back to marriage, while worrying that she'll be out of the aristocrats' shoes. Yeah, other than that, I could really tell that she always tell embarrassing tales of her son, especially the "wet combination" (even in the fandom). Poor Victor VD, feeling embarrassed and neglected (and "figuratively" tortured) by his mother. I could really tell that his childhood life through adulthood was like that.
Panel 2: Susan Frankenstein asked her son to hand over the kitchen supply so she can make a meal for dinner, as Victor Frankenstein gives it to her.
In "Frankenweenie" film, Susan Frankenstein does support her son as a loving mother (UNLIKE Victor VD's Mom), even though she concerns him because of his interest of science. However, she feel bothered when Victor F always borrowing kitchen supplies from her for the making invention. And yeah, you can really tell that she went upstairs to the attic to get any kitchen supply back, even asking Victor F to get a waffle pan back in the film. Still, what's best for Susan was her personality (while she was based off from Victoria Everglot's design).
