It's been a long time coming for a ref sheet for Duke. I've only ever had 2 ref sheets of him, and they were really old and really poorly drawn. Now that I have an art motivation streak going on, I decided to finally make him a reference sheet that really captures his design. It has changed a lot over the years, and for the better!
Dukus is an Arctic Folf (Fox x Wolf hybrid) that I made in middle school originally back in around 2015 or so. He was one of the very first characters I ever created, before I knew what being a furry is. He looked a LOT different back then and most of the physical aspects of him are still present! (e.g. markings, colors, etc.)
Dukus is now almost 5 years old! (I will be going by my own birthdate, August 15th)
DESCRIPTION
___________
Dukus, Duke, Watermelon
Dukus is mostly white, counting his fingers and toes. and has 4 different color variations. He has black shoulders, ears, wrists and a black line that goes down his back onto his tail. Dukus also has black fox markings on his short snout that wing off from the black top. He has two different types of grey, light and dark, and they only appear on his back, following the black back line. However, they do not follow down the tail. Blue is the color of his mane and tail tip. His mane does not go all the way down his back and stops at his shoulder blades. His paw beans are pink, but his right handpaw has melanistic spots on his index finger bean and spotting on his middle paw pad. His other feet/handpaw beans don't have this same pigmentation and are completely pink.
Duke being a hybrid means birth defects, his ears are big and his snout is small and short. His wrists and ankles are excessively fluffy. And his tail is curled. He is healthy and these defects do not harm or bother him in any way.
I'm so happy and content with Dukus's design. I've grown with him and he's very dear to my heart. Until next time!
