Around the Time the "Scylla"-Class Fleetcarrier enters Service, some high up Smartheads where cooking up the Idea, to modify the hull of the Carrier for a new Tracked Ground Vehicle. Needless to say, the Imperial Navy was not willing to share their newest Toy with the Dirty Imperial Army: You can best describe the relationship between this two branches as some ancient Tribal War at best. But this time it got directly to the Council and the Emperor! In the end, the Emperor gave the Imperial Army the Right to get the Landcarriers, much to the dismay of the Navy.

The "Hydra"-Class is one of the biggest and most heavy tracked constructs in the hole Galaxy! It is a bit Shorter as the "Scylla"-Fleetcarrier, but put drasticly on more weight thanks to the giant undercarriage, Tracks and Heavy Ordonance Armament. But it also lost several of its Point Defense laser Batterie, wich prompted into some redesign of the "Isle" and the Stern, to install additional triple A Guns. Its Internal Space also got more cramped, resulting in a around 100 Fighter shrunk Fighter compliment, leaving it with only 260 Fightercrafts compared to the "Scylla's" 360! But the "Hydra"-Class have some plus Points. The Barelios Steel of its hull is the same used in every other Void Born Spacecraft, nearly impossible to crack without Spaceship class weaponery, wich is extremly rarely used in Ground Warfare! Alone the outerside of the Undercarriage is more than 6 meters thick! Also it have multiple Heavy Duty Weapons, also Ship class!
