On a side note here, I like the image, but it's pared with an animated image for an on line game that occasionally creates a bright, white flash which my mind's eye perceives as "Distant Lightning."

I have seem stuff like that, what's cool is when you get a strike and then it runs along the peeks for a few miles like opening a zipper. One time I was at the right place at the right time... watched one strike turn into a zipper that ran about 12 miles from island top to island top. The whole thing lasted a couple of seconds then it happened again a few minutes later... the storm was a rolling thunderstorm. We sat there for an hour watching the light show on a stormy afternoon.

I was coming by this spot about every hour in the dump truck... so take a pic if its interesting.

We'll have some of that here Saturday night, I go back to work Sunday. Nothing until Friday -- so far.
